Coach Information

NorCal Premier Soccer Coaching Qualifications

  • All coaches must have at least an NSCAA Advanced Regional License or attend the Norcal Premier/Fiorentina Basic Level Course.

  • One year to complete.
  • The NSCAA Advanced Regional License courses are all listed on: www.nscaa.com.

  • The Advanced Regional License changed its name to Junior Level VI-Advanced Regional. Go to the NSCAA website and under the tab "Coaching Courses"

  • you will see this course. From there you can read about the course and see where it is being offered.

  • The Level VI course is 21 hours and costs $105

  • Level VI courses in the Bay Area this summer:

  • 7/8 - 7/10 Castro Valley
    7/15 - 7/17 Novato
    7/29 - 7/31 Sunnyvale
    8/12 - 8/14 Oakland

Coaching F & E License Course (new)

  • As a result of joint cooperation with our sister league ACCYSL, they are extending the courtesy to JLYSSL coaches to take part in a CYSA F and/or E license course coming up on the weekend of March 4-6, 2011.

Coach and Assistant Coach

  • Coaches PCA Workshop - All Head Coaches are required to attend a PCA workshop. Only teams with the Head Coach attending a workshop will be invited to the JLYSL Tournament, be eligible for Club financial support for tournament fees at other tournaments, be permitted to represent JLYSL at Commissioner's Cup, Association Cup and State Cup events. Attendance at past workshops counts towards this requirement.

Field Setup/Teardown

  • Normally, fields are set up by the Alameda coach of the first game in the morning, and taken down by the Alameda coach of the last game in the afternoon, but if Alameda isn't playing those games we need volunteers. Send email to equipment@alamedasoccer.org to volunteer for a slot. Note that some fields have games both Saturday and Sunday, and everything is left up Saturday night.
